I am a historian of South Asia, teacher, outdoors field guide, and author passionate about exploration and learning.

After completing my dual-degree MA/MSc program in international history from Columbia University and the London School of Economics in summer 2025, I will be joining Philips Academy Andover faculty as a instructor of history and social science.

While at Columbia and LSE on a Foreign Language Area Scholarship (FLAS), I wrote a dissertation about the symbiosis between tourism development and Hindu nationalism in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand.

Prior to Columbia/LSE, I studied history and journalism at Boston College, taught at both Dexter Southfield School and Vinay Nagar Bengali Senior Secondary School in Delhi as a Fulbright-Nehru grantee, worked as a Wilderness First Responder and field guide for both L.L. Bean and Manhattan Kayak, and published my first book, The Local School.

I am originally from Danbury, Connecticut. All photos on this website are my own, unless indicated otherwise.
